Names Hyundai Palisade As SUV Challenge Winner

When Hyundai announced that a brand-new three-row SUV was going to hit the market over the summer in 2019, everyone was anxious to see what it would be called and how well it was going to perform. Flash forward six months later and we all know by now that it’s called the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, and just named it the winner of the Three-Row SUV Challenge.

Competing with the 2020 Palisade were six other mid-size SUVs, all of which are considered to be the most popular models of the class amongst consumers. Conducted by, the Three-Row SUV Challenge examines each model and puts them through a series of expert testing to determine which model is ultimately the best in class.

“The all-new Palisade brings technology and safety features, exceptional comfort and conveniences to a midsize SUV, proving ideal for any family,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “The recognition by further emphasizes Hyundai’s commitment towards making Palisade better for our customers.”

Any 2020 model vehicle is eligible to take part in’s end of the year award evaluations. The criteria that evaluates as part of its expert testing include crash tests, safety features, and overall excellence, according to a press release from Hyundai.
