There is a lot to be excited about in 2027 at Dealerships across the nation! (Part 1 of 2) on what is coming in 2027 for Automotive

There’s lots new for 2027. In a matter of months, new models will start to wend their way to the Napleton Auto Group dealerships. Some are refreshed, some are entirely new. But there’s no doubt: They will all be exciting. This is the first of a two part story. Come along with Napleton News as we take a look at New Models for 2027.

Acura MDX:

The new MDX will include improved aerodynamic styling that combines with the signature grille. Other mild tweaks will occur along with new wheel designs and some aerodynamic enhancements. Thanks to improved insulation inside, the ride is now better than ever. And once again, there are physical climate controls, meaning knobs and buttons rather than touch screens.

Acura ADX:

Acura’s new entry-level SUV is here to bridge the gap between the mainstream SUVs and those at the luxury end of the Acura spectrum. Designed to capture the interest of younger buyers, it features a load of features and capabilities.

It’s every bit an Acura and is a competent daily driver. It includes a very comfortable interior that is stylized to resemble its larger Acura sibling. Features inside include a drive mode dial, panoramic sunroof and a large swath of legroom and headroom. The sporty A-Spec model includes a flat-bottom steering wheel and contrast stitched suede seats.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged engine making 190 horsepower and paired with a continuously variable transmission. The ADX shares a platform with its corporate cousin, the Honda HR-V.

Aston Martin DB12 / DB12 S:

At the top of the Aston Martin mountain is the DB12 and DB12 S. A “super tourer,” it is powered by a 671-hp twin turbo V8 that will race you from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. This superior motorcar will take you to 202 mph. The DB12 S is the brand’s halo supercar, which achieves 690 hp and a 0 to 60 time of 3.4 seconds.

The hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is courtesy of Mercedes AMG. It is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The entire package delivers 590 lb-ft of stump-pulling torque. Other trick features include a Bilstein DTX adaptive damper system, and an electronic rear differential.

The DB12 S features a fixed rear spoiler for added rear downforce, an aggressive aero package and quad exhaust pipes. The interior also receives its due with custom semi-aniline leather, Alcantara and a red anodized drive mode dial.

BMW Neue Klasse i3 EV:  

The new BMW Neue Klasse i3 EV is the brand’s latest foray into electric vehicles. Sharp readers will recognize the i3 name, but this BMW is an example of a sensible and stylish alternative to the quirky model that first made the name famous.

While the previous i3 used carbon fiber construction, the new battery-electric four-door version will be sold alongside the traditional gas-powered version. The Neue Klasse i3 continues with the traditional kidney grille look of the 3 Series although it has grown slightly larger in size.

The first model released will be the i3 50 xDrive, which features twin motors that make 463 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. It is powered by an 800-volt electrical architecture with a 400 kW charging rate. New engine designs help reduce weight, energy consumption and manufacturing costs. Optimal performance is achieved by BMW’s “Heart of Joy” software, which helps operate drive, brakes, steering and energy recuperation.

An SUV version, the BMW iX3 50 xDrive EV will also appear later this year.

Best of all, the BMW i3 50 xDrive will have a range of approximately 440 miles.

BMW 3 Series (Gas):

The new BMW 3 Series signals a look at the future of the brand. The new 3 Series is split between futuristic Neue Klasse EV models and track-torturing internal combustion models like the world-famous M3.

The new 2028 BMW M3 will be powered by a “mild-hybrid” twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine. Power should exceed the current 500-hp offering with variations that will reach upwards of 600 hp.

And for fans of Wagons, BMW is reportedly developing a Touring (Wagon) version for the next generation of vehicles. Bringing it to the ‘States would mean that enthusiasts could haul the groceries as well as hauling something else!

BMW iX4:+ 

The iX4 is the latest EV Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) from BMW expected to sit alongside the iX3. With its fastback-encouraged shape it brings one of the freshest looks to the brand. Underneath, the iX4 will include an 800-volt charging protocol. Dual motor iX xDrive models will feature all-wheel drive as part of its powertrain options.

This new vehicle includes a sloped roofline and shorter rear overhang than the previous iX3. We’re not sure how the ultimate model, due in November, will appear but know that BMW’s efforts toward electrification will make sure that the vehicles will remain the ultimate driving machine.

BMW X5:

One of America’s favorite luxury SUVs, the BMW X5 is one of those rare vehicles that combines luxury with total driving engagement. Outfitted with possibilities including engines ranging from several turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engines to a pair of 4.4-liter Twin Turbo V8s, there is literally something for every type of driver, whether they are simply a commuter or an enthusiast.

The interior of BMW X5 is one of its other strong suits. Featuring a suite that is both luxurious and spacious, you can option it with Merino leather upholstery, M multifunction seating for spirited driving and virtually any color combination possible for what will truly be the Ultimate Driving Machine.

Chevrolet Bolt:

A small car that thinks it’s big! The Chevrolet Bolt is a simple, yet reliable electric-powered hatchback that is both cute and capable. What it brings is cargo space, a 262 mile range, Tesla charging (NACS) portal and Super Cruise as an available option.

Fully redesigned for 2027, the Bolt is related to the Bolt EUV from years gone by. But there are lots of improvements. For one, the ride is good, and quiet. Thanks to added insulation, road noise is kept largely at bay, especially on smooth highways. Regenerative braking is here, too, but we’d recommend staying in Normal mode rather than the more aggressive “High” setting. Regardless, we are big fans of one-pedal driving.

There’s much to like about the new Bolt, but that comes with a warning: If you want one, you’d better hurry because General Motors stated this limited run could be its last.

Chevrolet Equinox EV: 

Chevrolet’s no-compromise Electric Utility Vehicle, the Equinox  can go the distance and then some. It’s a practical bet, achieving 319 miles with front-wheel drive or 307 with all-wheel drive, thanks to its 11.5 kW charging module that makes charging faster than normal when using a high-voltage charger.

The Equinox is available in several trim levels and with the optional General Motors’ SuperCruise hands-free driving feature. The Equinox features items like a massive 17.7-inch touchscreen, and a base single electric motor that makes 220 horsepower. Choosing the dual motor specification kicks the power up to 300 hp.

A DC Fast charger will give approximately 70 miles in ten minutes. The Equinox EV is the perfect choice for someone who wants to dip their toes into the EV pool with a relatively affordable electric vehicle.

Chevrolet Silverado PHEV:

It’s already one of America’s most popular vehicles. What could make it even more so? How about adding a Plug-in Hybrid feature? That’s the Chevrolet Silverado PHEV for 2027.

Start with GM’s next generation Hybrid strategy. Intended to be available in both the Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, they will bridge  the gap between the internal combustion engine (ICE) and the fully electric Silverado and Sierra EVs. The new PHEV will likely be powered by GM’s new sixth-generation small-block V8 or turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Regardless of which powertrain is ultimately used, it will present an ideal package for commuting to and from shorter daily commutes.

Besides the new powertrains, the Chevrolet Silverado PHEV is slated to feature all new interiors, and exteriors plus improvements in convenience, technology and usability. It just may be the perfect answer to those who have been hedging their bets as to electrify or not.

Corvette Grand Sport X

An American-made supercar, the Corvette turns heads wherever it goes. But what do you do to burnish the image of a legendary model like the Corvette Grand Sport? You X it out. That’s right. The new 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X is the latest in the legendary Grand Sport line of the last true American Sports car.

Powered by GM’s next-generation LS6 6.7-liter V8, it can deliver 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. There’s an additional 186 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque on tap from the electric drive unit for additional performance and control. Add to that the benefit of all-wheel drive for confident handling and performance. Did someone say performance? Oh yeah, we did.

Adding to the performance is an 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, carbon-ceramic brakes and all-season tires for year-round grip. Enhance the exterior with a wide-body aero package optimized for aerodynamics, an integrated rear spoiler, wide side air intakes and forged aluminum wheels. With all that, you’ll have a car that looks as good as it performs.

Genesis GV60 Magma:

A road-ready high-performance electric vehicle (EV), the Genesis GV60 Magma is ready to romp. Available in extremely limited quantities, it will feature race-inspired performance and Magma-inspired detailing. What’s a Magma, you ask? That’s Genesis brand’s high-performance division.

The GV60 Magma gets power from a 609 horsepower dual-motor setup similar to the current GV60, but it adds 167-hp to the equation. The net result is a vehicle that kicks out nearly 650 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. It can scoot from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.4 seconds.

Drift enthusiasts can take advantage of Drift Mode. Designed specifically for closed-course driving, drift mode lets you show friends your skills in controlling drifts with confidence and finesse. And, for those always looking for a bit more oomph, there’s Boost Mode. By pushing the boost button, the GV60 Magma will, for approximately 10 seconds, unleash up to 650 horsepower with absolute racecar acceleration.

Inside, the Genesis GV60 Magna features a performance interior with 10-way ergonomic Suede bucket seats. Outside, a restyled front and rear bumper, a new rear wing and a ride height that is now three-quarter inches lower help to set the GV60 Magma off from the also-rans.

Genesis GV90 EV:

The soon-to-be flagship of the brand, the Genesis GV90 will become the largest and most lavish electric vehicle in the lineup. A three-row vehicle, it moves the seven-passenger EV more upscale than ever before.

Sharing much of the technology found on the Electrified GV70 and electrified G80 sedan, the GV90 is propelled by standard all-wheel drive with nearly 500 horsepower. The suspension consists of air springs and electronically controlled dampers. The battery pack will be big enough to get over 300 miles of range per charge.

On board the GV90, buyers will find the latest in technology from high-performance to pillarless doors, and even 24-inch tires. Based on Hyundai’s new eM platform family, it will accommodate larger batteries allowing for extended range. Under proposed charging protocols, expect to receive from 10% to 80% charge in only 20 minutes.

Honda CR-V Hybrid:

One of the more popular vehicles on the road today, the Honda CR-V Hybrid has recently undergone a facelift making it more contemporary than before. Chief among them are new fender flares, 18-inch alloy wheels and other select upgrades.

Other upgrades come from a 190-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a larger more accommodating interior, and a reworked interior and front fascia. These start with new headlight graphics and a more up-front grille.

Inside, expect a larger touchscreen, ventilated and massaging front seats and more. But that’s just the beginning. Check back for more updates as the CR-V’s release date approaches.

Hyundai Santa Fe:

The Hyundai Santa Fe is the newest groundbreaker from Hyundai. It’s also one of the newest to receive a substantial mid-cycle refresh. Gone are the LED “H” light bars and a heavily revised front fascia with new daytime running lights. The front and rear bumpers have also undergone revisions.

Inside updates include a massive tablet style touchscreen measuring 17 inches diagonally. This new screen features the PLEOS operating system (Built on the Android platform) with a smartphone-like interface.

Under the hood is the new Extended-Range powertrain. It matches a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with dual electric motors, with the engine acts as generator for the battery while never powering the wheels. The system, according to Hyundai was good for over 600 miles of total range,.

Hyundai Tucson:

One of Hyundai’s more popular compact SUVs, it is newly redesigned for the 2027 model year. The Tucson features a rugged, boxier exterior, a new Android-based Pleos Connect infotainment system and upgraded powertrain.

The exterior is boxier with flatter sides and a more upright stance and angular wheel wells that brings its style in-line with the larger Santa Fe. New headlights are also in the mix, along with a full-width taillight. New flush-mounted door handles help to impart a feeling of sophistication to the Tucson.

The interior has been upgraded as well, but maintains vital tactile controls. Under the hood, there is Hyundai’s TMED-II system. This is a new, upgraded hybrid system with Transmission-mounted Electric Devices to combine power with the Tucson’s 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid system.

Kia Telluride:

Redesigned for 2027, the new Kia Telluride is the brand’s 3-row SUV. Now boxier than ever, it has been improved in a number of ways and even goes further to introduce a powerful Hybrid model that sips gas rather than gulping it. Gone is the V6 engine that previously powered the Telluride. In its place is a 274-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 2.5-liter turbo four with a two-motor hybrid system that delivers 329 horsepower.

Front-wheel drive is standard, while All-wheel drive is an available option for some models and included as standard on others. The Telluride X-Pro is powered by the standard 274-hp turbo four engine with standard AWD. It features more ground clearance than the standard Telluride, 18-inch all-terrain wheels, an electronic limited slip differential and a beefier suspension. Best of all, it can ford a creek with up to ten inches of water.

The Turbo four-powered Telluride is good for towing up to 5,000 pounds.

Kia Seltos:

Boxier, bigger and badder than ever, the new Kia Seltos is a subcompact SUV that is full of swagger. A case of “Honey, I Shrunk the Telluride” the second-generation Seltos is now several inches longer, a little bit wider and with a longer wheelbase, adding extra legroom inside.

The Kia Seltos features a new, modern interior that is consistent with the rest of the brand. This includes a thin band of climate control vents, the new “squarish” steering wheel seen in other Kias and an overall look that is more luxurious than Kias of the past.

There is nearly 25 inches of digital instrumentation screens that line the dashboard and are canted towards the driver.

In front is a broad, tallish grille, and vertical tailgate topped by a roof spoiler. The “Tiger nose” continues with new amber LED lights flanking it from both sides. Overall, the look can be described as small, but with a big presence.

Kia Sportage:

Good looking, competent, comfortable and easy to own are all descriptions that can describe the Kia Sportage for 2027. Following a 2026 refresh, the Sportage returns in its current guise ready for its next adventure.

These adventures can be as mild as a trip to the big box store or when equipped as the X-Pro model, as wild as an off-road camping trip to a national park.

The Sportage is powered by a 187-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with front- or all-wheel drive. The Kia Sportage is known for a cushy ride and comfortable on-road manners.

The Kia Sportage Hybrid is another available model featuring a 232-hp turbocharged and hybrid-assisted 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This powertrain features an EPA estimated range of 42 mpg combined. The Sportage Hybrid includes AWD with a terrain mode selector. This dial features settings for mud, snow and sand.
