Cars.com Names Hyundai Palisade As SUV Challenge Winner

When Hyundai announced that a brand-new three-row SUV was going to hit the market over the summer in 2019, everyone was anxious to see what it would be called and how well it was going to perform. Flash forward six months later and we all know by now that it’s called the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, and Cars.com just named it the winner of the Three-Row SUV Challenge.

Competing with the 2020 Palisade were six other mid-size SUVs, all of which are considered to be the most popular models of the class amongst consumers. Conducted by Cars.com, the Three-Row SUV Challenge examines each model and puts them through a series of expert testing to determine which model is ultimately the best in class.

“The all-new Palisade brings technology and safety features, exceptional comfort and conveniences to a midsize SUV, proving ideal for any family,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “The recognition by Cars.com further emphasizes Hyundai’s commitment towards making Palisade better for our customers.”

Ever since its inception in 1998, Cars.com operates as an automotive website that classifies personal vehicles. The resource serves as a place to connect car shoppers and sellers with reliable data, resources and digital tools. The website serves as an unbiased medium and produces content so consumers can make informed buying decisions and connect with automotive retailers.

“The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is Cars.com’s Best Three-Row SUV for 2020,” said Jenni Newman, Editor-in-Chief, Cars.com. ” It’s easy to see why it won the title with its premium materials, pleasant driving experience and plenty of room. On top of all that, it’s an incredible value too. The Palisade isn’t Hyundai’s first three-row SUV; it replaces the Santa Fe XL, which replaced the earlier Veracruz. But it’s the best.”

Any 2020 model vehicle is eligible to take part in Cars.com’s end of the year award evaluations. The criteria that Cars.com evaluates as part of its expert testing include crash tests, safety features, and overall excellence, according to a press release from Hyundai.
