Infiniti To Release 30th Anniversary Models

On the cusp of its 30th anniversary, Infiniti announced a plan to release a number of special edition models dubbed the “Edition 30” series. The 30th anniversary models will be revealed at the 2019 Japanese Automotive Invitational, also known as Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, taking place Aug. 16-18.

Specific details about what the special models will look like are still unclear. However, Infiniti has confirmed that there will be visual tweaks and enhancements made to the Q50, Q60, QX50, QX60, and QX80. While no specific date has been announced, these special models are expected to be available for sale at Infiniti dealerships in the fall of 2019.

“Infiniti was born to redefine the rules within the luxury space, and we continue to deliver a level of luxury that is meant to be lived in and to be experienced to the fullest,” said Infiniti Vice President of Americas Jeff Pope in a press release. “The Infiniti Edition 30 models are the latest representation of this vision, bringing together inspired design and advanced driver assistance technology that we pioneered.”

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is a three-day event designed to celebrate achievements in automotive engineering. The event began in 1950 and prides itself on showcasing automobiles in a relaxed atmosphere where cars are judged by their elegance rather than speed and performance.

“The Japanese Automotive Invitational, brought to us by our partners at INFINITI and MotorTrend, makes an important contribution to the collector car world,” said Chairman of the Concours d’Elegance Sandra Button. “It expands our vision of cars and our appreciation of our shared automotive history, and it leads toward new definitions of elegance and excellence.”

Founded in 1989, Inifiniti is a luxury automobile manufacturer now headquartered in Hong Kong. The company operates as a division of Nissan.
