Mitsubishi News & Reviews

How Mitsubishi Crossovers Differ From Other Brands

Over the past several years, smaller SUVs have taken a foothold of the car-buying market, and Mitsubishi crossovers are no exception.

Both standard and luxury automotive brands have found a niche that is popular with drivers across the country. Design teams from every automaker have taken the comfort allotted from bigger vehicles like SUVs and married it with a more compact structure similar to a sedan.

The result? An appropriately-sized crossover that offers the best of both worlds.

Mitsubishi Motors has taken the opportunity to provide drivers with the ultimate driving companion a step further with their lineup of crossovers. The Outlander, Eclipse Cross, and Outlander Sport each offer something unique, but all three come equipped with intuitive safety features.

Take a look at the following clip that briefly shows what kind of safety technology comes standard in the Outlander Sport.

Having advanced safety technology is not something unique to the Mitsubishi brand. However, the high accolades from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) are what truly make one of Mitsubishi’s crossovers stand out from the crowd.

The 2020 Eclipse Cross was named as a 2019 IIHS “Top Safety Pick,” which is only reserved for models that perform well in safety tests. Models are judged based on how well each part of the vehicle performs in crash tests, and the Eclipse Cross received high marks across the board.

While driving a safe crossover is always appealing, affordability also plays an important factor. The Mitsubishi Outlander received one of Kelley Blue Book’s “5-Year Cost To Own” awards for the 2020 model year. These awards are reserved for models that have the lowest projected ownership costs within the first five years of ownership.

Between the high level of safety and low cost of ownership, Mitsubishi crossovers provide drivers with peace of mind, which can be hard to come by when shopping for a new car.
