All eyes are focused on the 2021 Acura TLX after the luxury brand announced the new suite of safety features that come standard on the model.
The 2021 Acura TLX is targeting the highest available safety rating from both the NHTSA and IIHS. Attaining this goal is highly realistic between the AcuraWatch technology and next-generation passenger front airbag.
Acura is calling the approach “Safety Through Innovation,” and has made the 2021 TLX sports sedan the flagship model to showcase the brand’s commitment to driver and passenger safety.
Take a look at the following video to see highlights such as the world’s first passenger front airbag designed to address the issue of severe brain trauma commonly associated with angled frontal collisions.
Some of the features that are part of the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety features include an Enhanced Collision Mitigation Braking System, Driver Awareness Monitor, and Traffic Jam Assist. When used properly, these driver-assistive technologies help to avoid crashes or collisions with ease.
“This new Acura TLX is the latest example of our safety engineering team in Ohio pursuing important innovations to advance toward our goal of a safer and, ultimately, collision-free society,” said Jim Keller, President of Honda R&D Americas, LLC. “I’m very proud of how our engineers analyzed new brain injury research and then took action to achieve one of the most substantial advances in airbag design in decades.”
The 2021 Acura TLX is due to arrive at dealerships this fall. Those who are interested in buying or leasing the forthcoming model can visit either one of the two Ed Napleton Automotive Group Acura dealerships.
Ed Napleton Acura is located in Elmhurst, Illinois, and Napleton’s Palm Beach Acura is located on Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Even if you don’t happen to live in either one of those geographical areas, you can take advantage of the group’s Accelerate America program, which brings the dealership experience to your favorite device.
