DRIVE A TANK: The Ultimate Father’s Day Gift.

With Father’s Day approaching, Drive A Tank is the perfect gift for the man who has everything. We at Napleton News were just thinking, where can a guy find a tank when he needs one? The answer is at Drive A Tank.

Drive A Tank, is Kasota, MN’s favorite extracurricular activity.

The road ahead is blocked with a couple of cars who shouldn’t be there in the first place. You respectfully wait a few minutes for the owners to return, but they don’t, because they are up to no good somewhere else. Your patience is running thin, partially because the ice cream you bought for dessert is quickly melting. What’s next, you wonder.

What’s next, indeed?

Larry smashes a pair of sedans.

You could:

  • Push them out of the way.
  • Find another route home.
  • Call the authorities and wait for them to tow or…
  • You could drive right over them and have the time of your life doing it.

Drive A Tank can help! We received a press release stating Drive A Tank is the nation’s only venue where you can get behind the controls of an authentic military tank and wreak havoc on anything that gets in your way. Heck, you can steer into them even if they’re not in your way.

A once in a lifetime opportunity.

World War II M4 Sherman Tank

Think about all the cool opportunities that are out there. Your friends have done things like get into fake NASCAR racecars and gone 90 miles per hour around a racetrack to be awarded with a certificate saying you’re now a member of the 150 mph club. Other friends may have strapped on a parachute and jumped out of a perfectly good airplane. Still others may have gone swimming with sharks. Boring.

But nothing gives you the feel of invincibility you get behind the tillers in a tank. With a weight of up to 55 tons, a tank can squish a car like a bug. Behind this tiller, you are unstoppable and in control of one of the most powerful and, at one point, one of the most deadly vehicles on the road today.

Oh, about that: While members of the public can own tanks these days there are certain restrictions preventing you from actually driving them on a public road. It’s not just that they may require special permits. They may also “break the pavement.” So it may be best to operate a tank on private property.

A near-military adventure.

A Sherman Tank and US Army Half Track.

Located in Kasota, Minnesota, Drive A Tank offers “near-military” adventures using authentic military tanks and other military vehicles that have experienced actual battle field time.

Drive A Tank began with one military vehicle, a 2-1/2 ton military cargo truck, also known as a deuce. The owners quickly realized that people loved climbing on and into the deuce. Rides were next and resulted in Drive A Tank buying what has ended up to be an arsenal of eight authentic military tanks. The Drive A Tank experience was underway.

The Drive A Tank Experience includes a two-part adventure that includes being able to fire authentic military weaponry in a controlled indoor range. Other activities follow, ending with a CAR CRUSH! (If prearranged). An instructor will be right beside to guide you along.

More information can be found by contacting the Drive A Tank experience. Call (507)-835-5607, or visit www.driveatank.com

I've loved everything on wheels: Trains, Planes and definitely Automobiles. I am constantly in search of the latest in new technology, which makes our lives better each day, but will always respect the classics. You can't continue forward without first taking a look back at where you've been.
