The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV: A preview!

Chevrolet released a few new details about the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV and Napleton News is eager to get them to you. Read on for the latest electrified news from Chevrolet. Remember to check back here for automotive news and important updates as they become available.

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV to be revealed July 18!

The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV will be officially released on July 18, 2022. A teaser photo (above) shows the new Blazer EV in SS trim. Experts tell us it will feature a groundbreaking array of performance, style and technology. It will settle in as the top model when it hits the market in late 2023.

This new style of Blazer reappeared on the scene in 2019 as a smaller version of the Blazer than existed before. The award-winning crossover excited buyers, for the most part, thanks to its good looks and utility, but they did express disappointment over a certain lack of off-road chops.

It’s too soon to know right now, but seeing that SS badging can excite those lucky enough to get in and push the starter button. It will use General Motor’s Ultium Battery technology with a buyer’s choice of either single or dual-motor models. It’s also too soon to know about battery capacity, charging times and more. Suffice it to say this new SS model will compete strongly with other vehicles like the Tesla Model Y Performance and the Mustang Mach-E GT.

Ultium Battery technology

The new Chevrolet Blazer EV uses the GM Ultium Battery platform. Electric vehicles throughout the GM lineup will use the system. It receives controls from GM’s Vehicle Intelligence Platform architecture.

The GM Ultium system works on a variety of applications. These vary according to the vehicle style and the buyer’s needs. GM engineers have reduced the number of powertrain systems used throughout the current GM product portfolio. This practice is unlike many found in contemporary electric vehicles

Whether you are a buyer, a parts department supervisor or a shareholder, it’s a win-win!

I've loved everything on wheels: Trains, Planes and definitely Automobiles. I am constantly in search of the latest in new technology, which makes our lives better each day, but will always respect the classics. You can't continue forward without first taking a look back at where you've been.
