The 2023 Genesis G90 shows the latest vision of luxury

With the 2023 Genesis G90, the brand already known for shaking up the luxury segment goes a step further by introducing the new 2023 Genesis G90. It’s the latest version of the Genesis flagship sedan, and Napleton News thinks it’s quite the stunner.

According to Genesis, the new G90 features the most elegant interpretation of the brand’s design identity yet. It also includes a new, super-slim Two-Line lamp design achieved through technological innovations. These technologies have trickled into other vehicles within the Hyundai/Genesis/Kia corporate lineup.

The 2023 Genesis G90: Athletic Elegance.

The new G90 follows the naming conventions seen throughout the brand, with the G representing the Genesis name and the 90 defining it as the flagship of the brand. The new Crest Grille makes up the bulk of the G90’s front fascia with a delicate multilayered diamond mesh pattern. It’s flanked by a sleekly-designed Two-Line lighting arrangement that resembles the Genesis emblem.

The headlamps take the latest MLA technology and combine the low beams with the Daylight Running Lights (DRLs). Intercrossing the lenses help create the high-tech lighting effect. The effect carries past the front wheel wells into the front fender’s side marker lights.

The elegance extends upward to the hood, which then washes over the sides with a clamshell design that is both aerodynamic and, at the same time, stylistically eliminates panel gaps. At the sides, a parabolic style line runs the length of the G90 from front fender lines to the trunk in a seamless strike. At the rear, the two light theme continues across the trunk, with a ducktail flip-up lip for emphasis.

All functional features normally found on the rear fascia are still there but now placed below the bumper. These include the license plate, reverse lights and various sensors.

The Genesis G90 LWB Cometh.

The new 2023 Genesis G90 will be offered in standard and long-wheelbase versions. Stretched an additional 7.5 inches, this G90 LWB will be just the thing to meet you as you alight from your Gulfstream G700. The G90 LWB features chrome trim around the windows, B-pillars, lower body panels and bumpers. The icing on the cake is the 20-inch chrome platter-like wheels that truly make the G90 stand out from all the also-rans.

It is unknown if the Genesis G90 LWB model will make an appearance Stateside. Genesis has not released any interior photos, nor were powertrain details, although we think they will mirror other Genesis vehicles.

I've loved everything on wheels: Trains, Planes and definitely Automobiles. I am constantly in search of the latest in new technology, which makes our lives better each day, but will always respect the classics. You can't continue forward without first taking a look back at where you've been.
