Honda Pilot TrailSport Sneak Peak

The Honda Pilot TrailSport is the latest version of the Pilot that will be introduced this fall. The Pilot has been around since 2002. It is the largest mid-size SUV Honda has made. It is a three row crossover capable of transporting up to seven passengers. Napleton News managed to get our hands on several sneak peek photos and are eager to show them to you here. Uncovered: A Pilot TrailSport prototype.

We have been seeing a slow trickle of images of the new 2023 Honda Pilot as it goes through its off-road paces on what are presumably the trails of backwoods California. In the past, we were only privy to the camouflaged images of the Pilot. Not didn’t want to be outshone by anything coming from the Detroit Auto Show. As a result, they teased the SUV-buying public just a little bit more.

The previous images revealed the full body shape, but honestly, the overall look is hidden by the camouflage. The latest pair shows the front grille with the new orange TrailSport logo. The second image shows the hatchback of the new crossover with a new larger “Pilot” logo placed across the central trim strip.

A closer look at the Pilot reveals a larger grille, a new bright blue color, squared-off headlamps and new taillights. The TrailSport name has been used on the previous Pilot and smaller Honda Passport. Besides a nameplate, the new Pilot TrailSport includes a bunch of off-roading kit. This includes skid plates, suspension upgrades, all-terrain tires and a more complex and sophisticated all-wheel drive system.

Honda holds their cards close to the vest. When it’s time for a showdown (when poker players reveal their hand), we will let you know what’s on the table with the new Pilot.
