The all-new 2023 Honda HR-V has been dipped in rejuvenating waters. Once it dried off, it was found to be largely aspirational above what would usually be found in its competitive set. In other words, it attempts to go a class above what is expected. Napleton News was eager to bring you the news first. Here it is!
Now roomier and more stylish than ever, the new Honda HR-V brings a new aspirational slant that, according to Honda, “gives it more aspirational qualities beyond its segment.” As we interpret that, it means they think so highly of it that it begs the question, “why would l you consider anything else?”
Leading the list of new and improved items are a new platform, a much more responsive engine, a smooth-riding independent rear suspension and a new interior highlighting improved technologies and smartphone connectivity features.
The new Honda HR-V rides on a longer and wider platform than before, which undoubtedly helps smooth out the ride. The longer wheelbase helps add more rearseat legroom. It also sports a cargo area that is now one of the roomiest in its class.
The class-leading feats also extend to the safety features found in the new HR-V. Standard Honda Sensing next-gen front airbags and standard side-impact and front occupant airbags are all in the mix.
Honda says the new HR-V is just the thing for young, active buyers looking for a sporty ride. Add in the abundance of utility and cargo space and it seems the HR-V is road-ready for your next roadtrip adventure, whether on or off-road. In the process, the company hopes to bring an entirely new breed of buyer into the fold.
The new Honda HR-V is available in three trim levels. These range from entry-level LX, mid-level Sport and top-shelf EX-L, with Front-wheel drive (FWD) as standard. Real-Time all-wheel drive (AWD) is available with all trim levels.
Power for the new HR-V comes from a new 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine producing 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the 1.8-liter engine from the previous generation and has 17 more horsepower and 11 additional lb-ft of torque. A newly calibrated continuously-variable transmission adds simulated gear changes to the mix. Added driving enjoyment is the result that drivers will see.
The new 2023 Honda HR-V crossover is on its way to dealerships now. Check Napleton Honda for the latest in Honda Automobiles.
