The 2020 Hyundai Palisade has won Cars.com’s “Best of 2020” award. Eligible for vehicles that are new or fully redesigned for the 2020 model year, the Best of 2020 is awarded based on quality, innovation and value. Seldom does one vehicle possess all three qualities, but when it does, according to Cars.com, it can quickly rise to the top of the heap of nominees.
The 2020 Hyundai Palisade has all the credentials for a good family SUV. They include roomy second and third-row seating, top trim level material inside, near-luxury quality and technologies ranging from navigation, a huge 10.25-inch touchscreen display, driver-accessible storage space, power third-row seating and blind-spot imaging on the right and left side of the instrument panel.
Powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade features a very controlled ride with low-effort handling thanks to its motor-driven power rack and pinion steering system. Ride quality is enhanced by the front MacPherson struts with coil springs and the rear multi-link suspension. Snow mode, all-wheel-drive lock and hillstart assist and downhill brake control that allows the Palisade to creep down the side of a hill without any brake application.
The staff of Cars.com said it best when describing the way the Hyundai Palisade made the best case for itself. “Value ties it all together…Top trim levels boast quality that wouldn’t seem out of place from Hyundai’s nascent luxury brand, Genesis. Yet such lavishness doesn’t push the Palisade into $50,000-plus territory, which is a ceiling some rivals handily break. Hyundai’s impressive warranty cements the case for the automaker’s latest family SUV. The Palisade gets Cars.com’s enthusiastic nod for Best of 2020.
