Exciting news for Mazda fans as the 2020 CX-3 is expected to be available for sale at retailers across the country within the next two to three weeks.
Designed to appeal to more of the modern crowd, the CX-3 will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard across all trim levels. The driving dynamics have also been tweaked for tighter handling and smoother braking to make city driving feel effortless.
Equipped with a four-cylinder Skyactiv-G 2.0 engine, the subcompact crossover delivers 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. The CX-3 has front-wheel drive and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission that has both a manual-shift mode and a sport mode, depending upon how hands-on you want to be behind the wheel.
According to a press release from Mazda, the cabin is equipped with a seven-inch, full-color touchscreen display with Mazda Connect, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker audio system. All of these features can be safely accessed through the multi-function commander knob or steering wheel-mounted controls.
Safety features that come standard include Radar Cruise Control with stop and go function, Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Brake Support with Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Control, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
After first being introduced into Mazda’s lineup of vehicles in 2015, this is the sixth generation CX-3. The model has increased in popularity over the years as consumers have steadily gravitated away from mid-size sedans and more towards smaller SUVs.
Mazda is confident that the latest edition in its lineup of crossovers is sure to be popular with several demographics, but anticipates it will be most popular with younger people who live in cities or college towns.
The Ed Napleton Automotive Group has a Mazda dealership located in Urbana, Illinois. The city is home to several college students as it is the site of the University of Illinois’ undergraduate campus.
