NEW 2021 NISSAN ROGUE IS READY TO HIT THE ROAD

The New 2021 Nissan Rogue has been reintroduced for 2021, with an all-new look and a hard focus on delivering functionality, flexibility, technology and safety. To hear it from the company, the new Nissan Rogue’s goal is to make life easier. It has always been one of Napleton.News’ favorites.

According to Nissan, the new Rogue is the newest crossover and the first of five new or redesigned Nissan models to enter production this year. It joins other recently redesigned Nissan family members, including the new Altima, Sentra, Titan and Versa.

NEW 2021 NISSAN ROGUE IS PLAYING TO WIN

According to Nissan’s senior vice president for U.S. Marketing and Sales, Mike Colleran, the new Rogue is playing to win in the midsize crossover segment.

To that end, the new Rogue is powered by a standard 2.5-liter dual-overhead-cam (DOHC) inline four-cylinder engine with gasoline direct injection. This four-banger produces 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, which increases six lb-ft over the previous version of this powerplant. It is available in front- or all-wheel-drive versions and utilizes Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission with manual shift mode and paddle shift levers.

Both versions have extra capabilities, thanks to their drivetrain options. For FWD models, a switch on the console adjusts for Sport, Standard and Eco drive modes. AWD versions utilize Nissan’s Vehicle Motion Control system for extra capabilities. These include drive modes for Off-road, Snow, Standard, Eco and Sport modes.

REFINED LOOKS

Versatile, edgy, fun. That’s the new Nissan Rogue. What started early in its life, many years ago, is now a new, tough-looking, capable Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) that bears a certain refinement. The floating roof returns, as does an evolved version of the V-Motion grille. New LED headlamps are now standard. LED fog lamps are also part of the package when ordering the SL and Platinum grade models.

The new Rogue measures 1.5 inches shorter and rides 0.2 inches lower than the previous versions. This accomplishes two important features: It adds to the vehicle’s visual strength while enhancing the Rogue’s maneuverability. Along the way, special care has been paid to keeping the Rogue aerodynamic by using grille shutters, under chassis covers and air vents that create an air current effect over the front wheels and tires.

WHAT’S THE HUB-BUB ABOUT?

The new 2021 Nissan Rogue interior is set to serve as a family “hub” that will provide comfort and utility for all passengers. And it’s not just about connectivity either. Sure, there’s that, including Apple CarPlay, which can now connect without cords. A Qi wireless charger is on-board now, located on the center console near the shifter and twin cupholders. There are also USB-A and USB-C outlets to ensure other phones and tablets can be topped off with a charge, as needed.

Some new Rogue versions can include the available combination of a full-color 10.8-inch head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard gauge cluster and a floating 9.0-inch touchscreen display that allows infotainment and navigational choices.

Nissan’s available ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link is once again available in the new Rogue. An innovative hands-on driver assistance technology, it reduces the hassle of stop and go highway driving and makes the overall experience an easy one. Combining steering assist and intelligent cruise control, the system regulates the acceleration, braking and steering in both heavy traffic and on the open highway. Enhanced for 2021, the system will include ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link that combine Door-to-Door Navigation System, which now can proactively slow the vehicle for upcoming freeway curves, junctions and freeway exits.

THE COMFORT FACTOR OF THE NISSAN ROGUE

The interior includes a host of refinements that make the new 2021 Nissan Rogue almost suitable for the luxury market. Heated front and rear seats, equipped with Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats that provide long-term comfort regardless of where you are seated. Three-zone climate control allows coverage of the front driver, front passenger and second-row seating, each with the ability to set the air conditioning as they would like.

The Nissan Rogue’s rear cargo area is accessible through doors that open a full 90 degrees for quick entry and rapid removal of child seats. Those same rear seats offer 36.5 cubic feet of storage space behind the second row. Fold them forward for an expanded cargo capacity totaling 74.1 cubic feet of storage.
