Toyota Launches Fully Redesigned Corolla

When the newest Toyota Corolla finally comes to dealerships, you might notice a lot of people on the lot doing a double-take. That’s because the newest generation of Corollas has been completely redesigned for the first time in seven years.

One of the most noticeable changes comes in the form of the exterior appearance. The new Corolla presents itself as a sporty sedan with sleek lines, angular front and rear end, and a low center of gravity. The sharp, low-sitting style is a major change for the Corolla, and it’s a clever design choice that beautifully modernizes one of the world’s best-selling cars.

The re-imagined Corolla isn’t just for looks either. Drivers of the new model will enjoy quicker acceleration and more responsive handling, amongst other handy upgrades. Standard safety features include pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure alert, and road sign assist. Additionally, there are plenty of entertainment features to enjoy like smartphone connectivity and a large touch screen display.

Toyota’s team of engineers do a brilliant job of bridging the gap between practicality and performance, making it the perfect vessel to effortless cruise along the highway or city streets. The seven years it took to give a major makeover to this car was well worth it.

“We offer cars that top customers’ expectations at affordable prices,” said Toyota Executive Vice President Moritaka Yoshida at a briefing in Tokyo on Tuesday. Here’s a look at the unveiling of the new Corolla and Corolla Touring from the summit:
