Volkswagen is offering a promotional campaign to customers that alleviates payments for six months and comes with a zero percent annual percentage rate.
All 2019 and 2020 VW models are eligible for the “no payment for 6 months” promotion at retailers across the country for customers who meet certain eligibility requirements.
As part of the German automaker’s spring promotion, this rare deal is being offered from March 19 through April 30. Customers who get approved will be able to sign and drive with a $0 down payment, $0 security deposit, $0 first month’s lease payment, and $0 due at signing.
Volkswagen has been making adjustments over the past week to assist both its customers and employees during turbulent times. The automaker is doing what they can to take the financial stress out of the equation for customers who are planning to buy or lease a car at this time.
When it comes to protecting its employees, the auto brand announced today that they will be closing the production of its plants in Europe to combat the spread of COVID-19.
“We have decided to run production down in a coordinated way from the end of the late shift on Thursday,” said Ralf Brandstätter, Chief Operation Officer of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand. “We are convinced that this will also be in the interests of our employees who are becoming increasingly concerned about the spread of corona.”
Shutting down production and offering huge sales incentives to its customers are two examples of how a worldwide brand like Volkswagen can act responsibly during this time. With so many people facing serious economic uncertainty, VW is answering the call by providing security to its staff and serious financial relief to its customer base.
