Kia Charging News

In Kia Charging news, Napleton News has talked about the brand’s commitment to electric vehicles for some time now. But still, the question always comes up of where do you charge it? Kia and SparkCharge and its subsidiary, Currently, are offering a proactive answer: Instead of going out to find a charging station, why not bring the charger to you?

How Currently helps EV owners?

Currently is an on-demand concierge service providing electric vehicle (EV) owners with the ability to charge their EVs where and when they want. The partnership officially began on March 1, 2022, with a joint statement. EV owners can access the service through the Currently app. It is currently (There’s that word again) available in three California cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Jose. That’s just for starters as the company plans to expand to other cities in the future.

Charging is delivered through the “Roadie.” A portable charging brick, it is extremely easy to move from place to place.

Kia customers will enjoy two months of service at no cost, with the option to continue after this period. Taking advantage of the service is a relatively straightforward process. Using the Currently smartphone app, an EV owner will schedule the time and location for their charging appointment. A Currently power delivery technician will arrive at the requested location to charge up the vehicle.

The partnership signals a commitment between Kia and Currently to create a more sustainable world.

Service extends long after delivery

“The relationship with our customers does not end after delivery. In fact, that’s just the beginning,” said Greg Silvestri, Kia’s Vice President of Service Operations. Partnering with Currently to offer complimentary EV charging connects to our larger strategy and amplifies our commitment to overall EV adoption. We believe that making charging easy also makes EV ownership easy.

“We created Currently to make EV ownership convenient and accessible,” said Josh Aviv, CEO and founder of SparkCharge. SparkCharge is the parent company of Currently. “We couldn’t be happier to partner with Kia to give EV drivers the convenience of mobile charge delivery, he said.

Company officials are optimistic in their vision of how the Kia Charging News partnership will evolve. The two brands will positively affect people’s lives and the environment. What many forget is the often-overlooked time-saving element involved. This service gives EV owners the ability to call and schedule a full-service mobile charging session. It all occurs without the ordeal of waiting for an open charger at the local Volt and Bolt. (Copyright 2022: A Mark Elias joint)

Think of the possibilities: EV owners can schedule a charging session at their workplace or while in the middle of a long-distance trip. For instance, call ahead and arrange to meet at a restaurant along the interstate. Head inside for a sit-down lunch. By the time you leave your server a nice tip, your EV is brimming with electrons.

We wish the company chose a name other than Currently, which tends to get lost in the message.
